Flyers 2, Senators 1:
Jakub Voracek and Wayne Simmonds scored 3:59 apart in the second period as host Philadelphia handed Ottawa its second straight loss.

Ilya Bryzgalov made 33 saves for his 200th career regular-season victory and Danny Briere recorded an assist for the Flyers (11-11-1), who have won back-to-back games and five of seven to get back to .500.

Defenseman Marc Methot scored his first goal and Ben Bishop stopped 39 shots as the Senators had a string of six straight contests of earning at least one point come to an end. Ottawa has netted three goals or less in 12 straight games.

Voracek grabbed a long pass along the right boards and cut hard to the middle before beating Bishop between the pads for a 1-0 edge at the 7:24 mark of the second. Simmonds doubled the advantage when he came down the right side on a 2-on-1 break and accepted the pass from Brayden Schenn before skating in on Bishop unchecked.

The Senators chopped it back to a one-goal deficit with 5:49 left in the second as Methot took a feed from Colin Greening and blasted a slap shot from above the left faceoff circle that beat Bryzgalov high.

Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson was given a game misconduct penalty with 7:31 left in the game when he delivered a cross check to Zac Rinaldo’s face up against the boards. … Voracek has 10 points - six goals, four assists - in the last six games. … Philadelphia's Harry Zolnierczyk leveled Ottawa D Mike Lundin midway through the first period and received a five-minute major and game misconduct.
