Oilers 5, Stars 1: Ales Hemsky had a goal and two assists and Devan Dubnyk made 33 saves as visiting Edmonton snapped a six-game losing streak against Dallas.

Defensemen Justin Schultz and Jeff Petry each recorded a goal and an assist while Sam Gagner and Ben Eager also scored for the Oilers, who recorded their first regulation win in Dallas since Dec. 8, 2006.

Jaromir Jagr broke up Dubnyk's shutout bid with 5:55 left to play and Kari Lehtonen (33 saves) was shaky in net in his return from injury as the Stars fell to 10-1-1 in their last 12 meetings with Edmonton.

Gagner set the tone only 73 seconds into the contest, when he threw a puck toward the net from the right corner that deflected past Lehtonen, who had won his previous five starts before missing five games with a groin injury.

After Schultz doubled the lead at 13:52 of the first, Petry scored with only 14 seconds left in the second period, flipping a backhand shot toward the net that clipped Lehtonen's stick, caromed off defenseman Trevor Daley and went into the net. Hemsky converted on the power play in the opening minute of the third and Eager added his first of the season midway through the period to put the game well out of reach.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Stars LW Erik Cole, who was acquired from Montreal on Tuesday, was minus-2 in 15 minutes in his Dallas debut. ... Dubnyk, making his first start in a week, beat the Stars for the first time in six career starts (1-4-1). ... Oilers LW Taylor Hall picked up his team-high 14th assist on Schultz's goal in his first game back after serving a two-game suspension.
