FLAMES 5, STARS 4: Mike Cammalleri registered a goal and two assists while defenseman Mark Giordano added a tally and an assist as Calgary edged Dallas to end its five-game losing streak and remain in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race.

Olli Jokinen, Blake Comeau and Alex Tanguay also scored, captain Jarome Iginla notched two assists and Miikka Kiprusoff made 35 saves for the Flames, who moved to within two points of playoff position.

Jamie Benn recorded his second consecutive two-goal performance to give Dallas a 2-1 lead. The All-Star opened the scoring 26 seconds into the game and snapped a 1-1 tie 44 seconds into the middle period.

Calgary erupted for four goals later in the second, scoring twice in a 45-second span midway through the session to move ahead before netting a pair of power-play tallies late in the period for a 5-3 advantage.

Comeau began the outburst at 9:16 as he turned a giveaway by Mike Ribeiro into his first goal in 16 games and Cammalleri buried a loose puck for his 17th tally. After Ribeiro forged a 3-3 tie, Giordano and Tanguay blasted one-timers from above the slot past Kari Lehtonen to take control.

Philip Larsen scored a power-play goal in the third for Dallas, which fell out of the Pacific Division lead and into a tie for seventh in the West with Phoenix.
