AJ Dillon scored three touchdowns, Anthony Brown directed five touchdown drives in the first half and Boston College rolled to a 45-13 victory over visiting Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Brown threw touchdown passes to Korab Idrizi, Dillon and Jake Burt as the Eagles (2-0) scored the game's first 21 points and held a 35-10 halftime lead. Brown completed 8-of-14 passes for 163 yards.

Dillon totaled 86 yards on 17 carries and scored twice in the first half on runs from 2 and 42 yards. He added a second 2-yard rushing score in the third quarter and also finished with two receptions for 54 yards.

Zay Flowers scored on a 46-yard run in the game's second minute.

Boston College had three players rush for more than 80 yards as David Bailey led the Eagles with 97 yards on 13 carries. Flowers gained 92 yards on just three carries.

The Eagles improved to 2-0 in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2009-2010 by dominating the ground game, finishing with 346 rushing yards and 518 total yards in the first meeting between the schools since 1971.

Richmond (1-1) was dominated in its first visit to Boston College since 1965 and was unable to duplicate the feat it achieved against an ACC opponent when it knocked off Virginia in 2016.

Coming off a 489-yard showing against Delaware last week, Richmond quarterback Joe Mancuso was 11 of 17 for 124 yards. He was intercepted twice and was replaced by Beau English, who completed 8 of 9 passes.

Keyston Fuller caught a 35-yard TD early in the second quarter and Jake Larson two field goals for Richmond.

Fuller's 35-yard catch made the score 21-7, but Dillon answered about two minutes later by hauling in a 42-yard pass to make it 28-7. Larson's 36-yard field goal made it 28-10 with 5:18 remaining in the first half, but BC opened a 35-10 advantage on Burt's TD less than two minutes later.

Dillon's third TD made it 42-10 midway through the third quarter, and Aaron Boumerhi's 30-yard field goal made it 45-10 with 21 seconds left in the period.
