Redblacks 44, Blue Bombers 21: Trevor Harris threw for 361 yards and a touchdown as visiting Ottawa routed Winnipeg to tighten its grip on first place in the East Division.

William Powell rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown while short-yardage quarterback Dominique Davis ran for a pair of scores for the Redblacks (6-3), who increased their lead over Hamilton in the East to six points. Greg Ellingson hauled in eight passes for 100 yards while Dominique Rhymes finished with five receptions for 81 yards and his first CFL touchdown as Ottawa racked up 494 yards of offence.

Matt Nichols completed 23-of-35 passes for 291 yards and two TDs for the Blue Bombers (5-4), who had won their previous three games. Darvin Adams caught eight passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns while Andrew Harris rushed for 72 yards and a score for Winnipeg, which suffered its first home defeat in over two months.

Davis snuck into the end zone from 1 yard out and Trevor Harris (29-of-39) found Ellingson for the 2-point conversion to give Ottawa an early 8-0 lead before Adams hauled in a 45-yard touchdown pass to close the gap to one point after 15 minutes. Davis rushed for another 1-yard touchdown and Lewis Ward converted a pair of field goals (41, 38 yards) to help the Redblacks build a 22-7 advantage at halftime.

Andrew Harris took a direct snap 13 yards for a touchdown midway through the third quarter to pull the Blue Bombers within eight before Trevor Harris threw a 10-yard scoring strike to Rhymes and Avery Williams returned a fumble 43 yards for a TD to put Ottawa in total control at 38-14. Nichols found Adams over the top for a 72-yard touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter to give Winnipeg a glimmer of hope, but Powell broke free up the middle for a 28-yard TD to secure the Redblacks' first win against Winnipeg since Oct. 29, 2016.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Andrew Harris became the 14th player in CFL history to reach 7,000 rushing yards (7,060). … Ward extended his streak of consecutive field goals made to 24 in a row, which is the longest by a rookie in league history. … Ottawa went 4-for-5 on two-point conversions, including a pair by Powell. … Winnipeg OL Jermarcus Hardrick suffered a lower-body injury in the fourth quarter.
