Alouettes 27, Argonauts 24: Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns as Montreal rallied to top visiting Toronto for the 300th home victory in franchise history.

Adams completed 16-of-23 passes, including touchdown strikes to DeVier Posey, Jeremiah Johnson and Quan Bray as the Alouettes (9-7) clinched their first .500-or-better season since 2014. Posey finished with four receptions for 88 yards while William Stanback added 70 yards from scrimmage as Montreal beat the Argonauts for the fourth time in five meetings.

McLeod Bethel-Thompson was 35-of-45 for 342 yards and two touchdowns while also running for a score as Toronto (3-13) failed to build off last week's victory over Ottawa. Chandler Worthy made nine catches for 93 yards and a TD while S.J. Green had nine receptions for 83 yards and a score to lead the Argonauts.

Boris Bede converted a 36-yard field-goal attempt for the only points of the first quarter and Adams found Posey over the middle for a 10-yard score on the second play of the second as the Alouettes built a 10-0 lead. Tyler Crapigna, who had a kick blocked late in the half, got Toronto on the board with a 41-yard field goal before Bede answered from 40 yards as Montreal took a 13-3 advantage to intermission.

Bethel-Thompson sneaked into the end zone from 1 yard out ,and the former Sacramento State quarterback connected with Green for a 5-yard TD as Toronto surged ahead 17-13 after three quarters. Johnson took a screen pass 45 yards for a touchdown and Adams tossed an 18-yard scoring strike to Bray to give the Alouettes a 27-17 lead before Bethel-Thompson's 2-yard TD pass to Worthy with 1:14 to go closed the gap, but Crapigna missed a 51-yard attempt as time expired.
