Argonauts 27, Stampeders 24: Lirim Hajrullahu kicked a 32-yard field goal with 49 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to lift Toronto past Calgary in the 105th edition of the Grey Cup in snowy Ottawa.

Ricky Ray completed 19-of-32 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown for the Argonauts (11-9), who won their first championship game since 2012. DeVier Posey made seven catches for 175 yards and a score while James Wilder Jr. and Cassius Vaughn each added a TD before defensive back Matt Black intercepted a pass in the end zone with eight seconds left to preserve the victory for Toronto, which did not own a lead until the final minute.

Bo Levi Mitchell was 33-of-45 for 373 yards and two TDs but threw the critical interception as the Stampeders (14-5-1) lost in the Grey Cup for the second consecutive season. Jerome Messam accounted for 68 total yards and a pair of touchdowns while Kamar Jorden had six receptions for 117 yards and a score for Calgary, which had won its previous eight meetings with Toronto.

Mitchell threw a 33-yard scoring strike to Jorden late in the first quarter to put the Stampeders in front 6-0 after a failed 2-point conversion attempt, but Ray aired it out to Posey for a 100-yard touchdown on the first play of the second to level matters following a missed extra point. Calgary responded with a 6-yard TD run by Messam and Rene Paredes kicked a 39-yard field goal on the final play of the first half to help the Stampeders take a 17-8 lead into the break.

The Argonauts drove down the field on the opening possession of the second half and Wilder powered his way into the end zone from 2 yards out to help pull them within one before Messam answered with a 6-yard touchdown catch that put Calgary on top 24-16. Vaughn returned a fumble 109 yards for a score and Ray hit Declan Cross for the 2-point conversion with 4:15 remaining in the fourth quarter to forge a 24-24 tie before Hajrullahu kept his nerve on the biggest kick of his life to win it for the Argonauts.
