Andrew Jones tied a career high with 22 points and Texas made all of the biggest plays down the stretch as the visiting Longhorns rallied from behind to beat No. 22 Texas Tech 68-58 on Saturday afternoon in Big 12 Conference play in Lubbock, Texas.

It was the fourth straight victory for the surging Longhorns, who are down to seven scholarship players because of injuries and illness.

The Red Raiders led by seven points at the half, but Texas used a 11-2 run through the middle of the second half to leapfrog to the front at 55-51, with Jones and Courtney Ramey hitting big shots for the Longhorns in that stretch.

Texas (18-11, 8-8 Big 12) led 60-53 after a 3-pointer by Ramey at the 2:07 mark. Texas Tech ended a nearly three-minute scoreless swoon with a layup by Jahmi'us Ramsey with 1:57 to play. Kevin McCullar's three-point play with 1:12 to go cut the lead to 60-58, but the Longhorns answered with a putback layup by Royce Hamm Jr. with 55 seconds remaining.

After Ramsey missed a dunk, Texas' Matt Coleman III cemented the win with a runout layup and a pair of free throws.

Ramey added 12 points for Texas. All four of the wins in the Longhorns' streak have been by double digits.

Ramsey led Texas Tech (18-11, 9-7 Big 12) with 13 points. McCullar added 12, Davide Moretti hit 11 and Terrence Shannon Jr. scored 10 for the Red Raiders.

Texas led 26-23 after a jumper by Jones at the 5:04 mark of the first quarter, but the Red Raiders responded with a 9-0 run, helped by a technical foul on Longhorns' coach Shaka Smart and a 1-for-7 shooting slump from the field from Texas.

The Red Raiders assumed a 37-30 lead at the half after a 3-pointer by McCullar with 22 seconds to play. Moretti led Texas Tech with 11 points in the first half, while Jones paced all scorers with 14 points.

Texas cut the lead to 39-38 on a three-point play by Hamm with 16:32 to play. The Longhorns then took a short-lived 50-49 lead on a putback layup by Brock Cunningham with 9:09 remaining, setting the stage for the furious finish.
