Seniors Marlon Taylor and Skylar Mays combined for 49 points in their final home game as LSU defeated Georgia 94-64 in the SEC regular-season finale for both teams Saturday afternoon at Baton Rouge, La.

Taylor scored a career-high 30 points and Mays added 19 after LSU honored them, fellow senior Marlon Taylor and the late Wayde Sims, who was shot to death before what would have been his junior season last year, in a pregame ceremony.

Trendon Watford (13 points, 11 rebounds) and sophomore Javonte Smart (13 points, 10 assists) added double-doubles as LSU had a season-high point total.

The Tigers (21-11, 12-6) tied Auburn for second place and, as the No. 3 seed, received one of four double-byes in the SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn. LSU will play its first game in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Anthony Edwards scored 17 and Rayshaun Hammonds added 12 for the Bulldogs (15-16, 5-13). Georgia will be the 13th seed and play in the opening round of the tournament against an opponent to be determined.

The Tigers shot 57.6 percent (34 of 59) from the floor, including 11 of 21 (52.4 percent) on 3-pointers. The Bulldogs made 36.2 percent (25 of 69) of their field goals, including 3 of 26 3-pointers (11.5 percent).

LSU led by 15 at halftime and Georgia got within 13 four times early in the second half, but couldn't get any closer.

Taylor scored seven consecutive Tigers points as LSU increased the lead to 64-43 and held a comfortable margin the rest of the way.

In the early going the score was tied at 14 before LSU got hot.

Mays and Aundre Hyatt made back-to-back 3-pointers before Edwards answered with his first 3-pointer.

Mays and Watford made consecutive layups to increase the Tigers' lead to 24-17.

Edwards made a dunk but LSU followed with three consecutive inside baskets for a 30-19 lead.

The Bulldogs got within seven before the Tigers scored nine straight points to take a 39-23 lead.

Georgia cut the deficit to 11 before LSU finished with a 49-34 halftime lead.
