Senior guard Davon Reed, sophomore swingman Anthony Lawrence, and sophomore center Ebuku Izundu each posted career highs as Miami rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit for an 84-79 victory over North Carolina State at PNC Arena in Raleigh.

Reed scored 26 points, Lawrence 19, and Izundu 16 before fouling out as the Hurricanes (15-7, 5-5 ACC) outscored the Wolfpack (14-10, 3-8) 20-15 over the final seven minutes for a sweep of the season series Miami won the first meeting 81-63.

Freshman guard Dennis Smith Jr. led the Wolfpack with 31 points, one off his season high, and senior guard Terry Henderson added 21.

After shooting over 60 percent from the field in the first half, the Wolfpack cooled a bit in the second as the Hurricanes worked their way back into the game.

Trailing 51-43 less than four minutes deep into the second half, the Hurricanes began to climb out of the hole and eventually took their first lead since the early minutes on guard Ja'Quan Newton's jumper that made it 52-51 Miami at the 13:58 mark.

The two teams went back and forth for a few minutes after that until guard Bruce Brown's 3-pointer with 6:50 left broke a 64-64 tie and gave the Hurricanes the lead for good. They led by eight with less than a minute left.

After the two teams fought to a 30-30 tie just over 15 minutes into the game, the Wolfpack closed out the first half on a 15-6 run to take a 45-36 lead into the break.

Smith and Henderson combined for 33 of the North Carolina State's total. Smith was perfect from the field, making all six of his attempts with four from behind the arc in the period. Henderson missed only three shots overall, two of four 2-point attempt and one of five 3-point tries.

Smith finished the game 10-of-15 from the field (5-of-8 on 3s), Henderson 7-of-10 (5-of-6 on treys.)
