Hayden Dalton came off the bench to post 18 points and 12 rebounds, leading Wyoming to a 72-58 victory over DePaul on Thursday night in the semifinals of the Las Vegas Classic at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Justin James had 13 points and six rebounds for Wyoming (10-2), which plays No. 23 USC on Friday in a final-round game in Las Vegas. Alexander Aka Gorski scored 12 points, and Alan Herndon had 10 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

Tre'Darius McCallum had 18 points and six rebounds for DePaul (7-5), which meets Missouri State on Friday. Billy Garrett Jr. scored 17 points.

The Cowboys will meet the USC-Missouri State winner on Friday.

The lead changed hands a few times before DePaul went on a 10-1 run to take a 17-9 lead on a jumper by Darrick Wood. Wyoming responded with a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to two and tied the game moments later on a 3-pointer by Jason McManamen.

The Blue Demons went up 28-24 on a jumper by Brandon Cyrus. The Cowboys scored five of the next six points to tie the game at the halftime break.

DePaul opened up a six-point lead on a layup by Eli Cain early in the second period. Wyoming battled back to take a 36-35 lead on a layup by Herndon. The teams traded baskets until Dalton scored to spark a 9-0 run that put the Cowboys ahead 45-38 midway through the half.

The Blue Demons got within five on a basket by Garrett, but then the Cowboys pulled away. Dalton made two free throws and Gorski followed with a pair of 3-pointers to spark a 13-3 run that gave Wyoming a 58-43 lead with six minutes remaining.

Wyoming shot 42.1 percent from the field and made 6 of 25 from 3-point range. A 49-39 rebounding advantage helped the Cowboys overcome 22 turnovers. DePaul shot just 28.2 percent and made 4 of 15 from beyond the arc.
