Vanderbilt got balanced scoring and led from start to finish in a 68-54 win over Texas A&M on Tuesday night at Reed Arena in College Station, Texas.

Center Luke Kornet and guard Matthew Fisher-Davis scored 12 points apiece, forwards Jeff Roberson and Joe Toye each had 11, and guard Nolan Cressler added 10 for the Commodores (11-11, 4-5 Southeastern Conference). Vanderbilt won for the third time in four games following a four-game losing streak.

Center Tyler Davis led the Aggies (11-10, 3-6) with 18 points. Guard Admon Guilder added 11 points.

The Commodores nearly blew 15-point, second-half leads in their previous two games, and they saw the Aggies cut what had been a 22-point, second-half lead to 55-47 when guard Caleb Smith, who hadn't played in three games, hit a short jumper in the paint with 4:57 left.

However, Vanderbilt got 3-pointers from Toye and Roberson on its next two possessions, pushing the margin to 61-47 with 4:02 remaining. Texas A&M never got the lead to single digits again.

The Commodores led the entire first half and were up by 15 on two occasions. The margin was 36-23 at half, with Kornet and Cressler leading Vanderbilt with eight each.

Vanderbilt didn't shoot particularly well in the first half -- 43.8 percent from the field -- but turned the ball over just three times and allowed the Aggies just four offensive boards on 17 misses.

Aggies forward D.J. Hogg, who missed the previous two games with a foot injury, came off the bench and scored two points in 14 minutes. The sophomore entered Tuesday as A&M's second-leading scorer at 13.1 points per game.

A&M coach Billy Kennedy, clearly dissatisfied with his team's play, used his bench to send a message. Smith's nine minutes were the most he played since November, and guard Kobie Eubanks, who played three minutes in his past four games, played eight.
