Niang went 11 of 15 from the field and scored 27 points. Nader finished 8 of 13, including 5 of 8 from beyond the arc for 24 points.

But the Horned Frogs (11-16, 2-12) did not fold and go away quietly. TCU scored nine straight points to pull within seven at 61-54 on Chauncey Collins's 3-pointer.

Niang and Burton tried to ignite a Cyclones surge, but Collins kept the Red Raiders close with another 3 with 8:32 left to make the score 67-60.

The Horned Frogs closed within seven just one more time. The Cyclones had too many weapons as they coasted to the double-digit win.

Iowa State shot 54.2 percent from the field (32 of 59), including 11 of 28 from beyond the arc. The Cyclones also made 17 of 20 free throws.
