No. 2 Duke 77, North Carolina State 53: Quinn Cook scored 15 points to lead a balanced effort as the Blue Devils throttled the Wolfpack in the ACC quarterfinals at Greensboro, N.C.

Second-seeded Duke (29-3) completely dominated, racing to a 49-22 halftime lead and shooting 56.6 percent from the field as six players scored in double figures. Marshall Plumlee scored a career-high 12 points off the bench, Justise Winslow, Grayson Allen and Matt Jones each finished with 11 points, and Jahlil Okafor added 10 points as the Blue Devils advanced to face third-seeded Notre Dame in Friday’s semifinals.

Ralston Turner scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half for the sixth-seeded Wolfpack (20-13), who beat Duke in January but had no answer from the beginning in this one. One night after combining for 55 points in a victory over Pittsburgh, Trevor Lacey (four points) and Anthony Barber (none) finished a combined 2-of-15 from the field.

Winslow scored the game’s first five points as Duke raced to a 7-0 lead, and after Turner scored on consecutive possessions to pull the Wolfpack within 15-9, the Blue Devils buried N.C. State with a 27-8 burst. Cook hit two 3-pointers during the run, Jones scored seven during the burst and Plumlee added six points.

Jones hit two free throws with just over four minutes left in the half to end the run and give Duke a 42-17 lead, and Allen’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to 29 points with 1½ minutes to go before halftime. Duke led by as many as 30 points in the second half in winning its 12th game in a row.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Duke improved to 16-9 against the Wolfpack in ACC tournament play. … Six Blue Devils scored six or more points in the first half. Tyus Jones finished the half with six assists. … Barber, who scored 34 against Pittsburgh, went 0-of-7 from the field before leaving after colliding with Amile Jefferson in the second half.
