Ole Miss took its first lead of the game on Moody's 3-pointer from the corner just over two minutes into the second half, but Alabama surged back and went up 43-38 on three Randolph free throws with 14:45 to play. Moody scored consecutive baskets and White hit back-to-back 3-pointers during a 12-0 run that put the Rebels ahead 55-46 and the Crimson Tide didn't get closer than five the rest of the way.

The Crimson Tide scored the first eight points of the game and still led by eight with just under 12 minutes left in the half before Ole Miss charged back to tie it at 22. Alabama stretched the lead back out to six before White's 3-pointer just before the buzzer made it 30-27 at the break.
