No. 6 Arizona 57, Oregon State 34: Brandon Ashley scored 12 points and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added 11 as the Wildcats rolled past the visiting Beavers for their sixth straight win.

T.J. McConnell collected seven points, six assists and eight steals for Arizona (20-2, 8-1 Pac-12), which avenged a 58-56 loss to the Beavers on Jan. 11 and extended its home winning streak to 34 games. Stanley Johnson added eight points and nine boards as the Wildcats forced 17 turnovers and held Oregon State to a season-low point total.

Olaf Schaftenaar led Oregon State (14-7, 5-4) with eight points and six rebounds while Malcolm Duvivier and Jarmal Reid scored seven points apiece. Leading scorer Gary Payton II, who came in averaging a team-high 13.2 points, was 3-for-13 and finished with six points along with five rebounds while committing five turnovers.

Arizona closed the opening period on a 11-0 run and took a 24-13 lead into the break after holding the Beavers scoreless for the final 7:48. Schaftenaar drilled a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 36-24 with 11 minutes left, but Arizona answered with a 7-1 spurt and maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the contest.

Oregon State, which has lost two straight following a three-game winning streak, was held to 28.6 percent shooting – including 3-for-15 from 3-point range. The Wildcats recorded their 17th straight league victory at the McKale Center despite committing 16 turnovers and going 4-for-12 from beyond the arc.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona improved to 119-17 when leading at halftime under coach Sean Miller. … Oregon State was 3-for-5 from the foul line and has made six free throws over its last two games. … The Wildcats played without reserve PG Parker Jackson-Cartwright, who suffered a concussion in Wednesday’s victory over Oregon.
