LSU 75, Ole Miss 71: Keith Hornsby scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half and was 5-for-10 from 3-point range while three others recorded double-doubles to help the visiting Tigers hold off the Rebels.

Jarell Martin recorded 18 points and 14 rebounds, Josh Gray contributed 14 points and 10 assists and Jordan Mickey added 11 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks as LSU (13-3, 2-1 SEC) won for only the second time in the last nine meetings. Tim Quarterman scored eight points for the Tigers.

M.J. Rhett registered 15 points and seven rebounds while Dwight Coleby added 10 and eight for Ole Miss (10-6, 1-2). Stefan Moody scored 14 points and Jarvis Summers added 13, but the Rebels' top two scorers combined to shoot 11-of-35 as Ole Miss finished 34.6 percent from the field - 5-for-23 from 3-point range.

Martin recorded 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting and eight rebounds while Mickey also grabbed eight boards and scored six to help LSU take a 32-28 lead at the break as Martin's basket sparked a 10-0 run that erased a seven-point deficit late in the first half. The Tigers completed a 24-6 run spanning halftime to stretch their lead to 43-32 after Hornsby found his 3-point range with a pair of buckets from beyond the arc and capped the uprising with five straight points.

The Rebels scored the next 12 points as LaDarius White's 3-pointer put Ole Miss up one before LSU unleashed a 10-2 run - highlighted by a pair of 3-pointers by Hornsby - to take a 53-46 lead with less than 12 minutes to play. The Rebels trimmed the deficit to 62-61 with less than 6 1/2 minutes left but couldn't get over the hump as Hornsby's 3-pointer with 1:52 to go made it 69-63 and the Tigers held on after converting 4-of-6 from the free-throw line in the final 36.2 seconds.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mickey is averaging 15.5 points and 10.6 rebounds. ... Ole Miss was outrebounded 27-16 in the first half, but won the battle on the boards after intermission 31-14. ... The teams combined to shoot 11-for-43 from 3-point range.
