Mike Tobey scored 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Cavaliers dominated the visiting Crimson.

Malcolm Brogdon added 15 points, six rebounds and six assists for Virginia (11-0), which set a school shot-clock era record with eight points allowed in the first half. The Cavaliers entered with the second-best scoring defense in the country (48.1 points) and completely stifled Harvard in holding their second opponent of the season under 30.

Steve Moundou-Missi was the only starter to connect from the field and finished with six points on 1-of-8 shooting for the Crimson (7-2). Corbin Miller hit a pair of 3-pointers off the bench and leading scorer Wesley Saunders, who came in averaging 20.1 points, managed four free throws.

Tobey scored the first seven points of the game before Zena Edosomwan connected on Harvard’s lone field goal of the period. Brogdon’s jumper pushed it to 30-4 with 5 1/2 minutes left in the half and Virginia took a 39-8 cushion into the locker room.

Justin Anderson and Brogdon began the second half with back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 45-8 before Moundou-Missi scored four points to get the Crimson into double figures. Darion Atkins’ jumper pushed the lead to 60-18 at the midway point and the Cavaliers coasted to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The one field goal allowed in the first half matched an NCAA record for fewest in a half. … Virginia improved to 11-0 for the first time since the 1992-93 campaign. … Harvard ended up shooting 16 percent from the field while the Cavaliers shot 59.6 percent.
