No. 12 Ohio State 97, North Carolina A&T 55: D'Angelo Russell scored 21 points and Shannon Scott finished with 12 assists and a career-high seven steals as the host Buckeyes dominated the Aggies.
Marc Loving hit three 3-pointers en route to 15 points for Ohio State (9-1), which outscored its opponent by by a whopping 58-29 margin in the second half. Kam Williams came off the bench to chip in 15 points of his own as the Buckeyes topped the 90-point mark for the fifth time.
Bruce Beckford scored 26 points to lead North Carolina A&T (1-11), which did not have a single foul shot until the waning moments while losing its 11th straight. Arturs Bremers chipped in 14 points and Austin Williams had a career-high 10 assists.
Russell had five points in a game-opening 10-0 burst and the Buckeyes led 17-2 less than five minutes in. The Aggies trailed by as many as 19 in the first half but back-to-back 3-pointers by Bremers to close the stanza cut their deficit to 39-26.
Ohio State wasted no time putting it away with a 7-0 burst out of intermission and separate runs of 12-4 and 9-0 to go up 67-34 with just over 13 minutes left. The lead eclipsed 40 points at 79-38 on a basket by Jae'Sean Tate with eight minutes to go and topped out at 48 on Scott's hoop with just over six minutes left as the Buckeyes easily ran their home record to 9-0.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Aggies finished 3-of-4 from the line while the Buckeyes were 20-of-22. ... Ohio State recorded 18 steals while forcing 26 turnovers. ... The Buckeyes are next in action against No. 24 North Carolina on Saturday in the CBS Sports Classic in Chicago.
