Texas A&M 87, New Orleans 65: Freshman Peyton Allen scored a season-high 16 points off the bench to spark the host Aggies to their third consecutive victory.

Jalen Jones added 15 points and Danuel House was also in double figures with 14 for Texas A&M (4-1), which shot 52.4 percent from the floor. Allen, who was scoreless in his previous game against New Mexico, connected on 4-of-5 from 3-point range as the Aggies finished 9-of-21 from behind the arc.

Christavious Gill scored a team-high 16 points for the Privateers (1-2), who were swept in their two-game swing through Texas. Fellow reserve Colton Weisbrod added 12 points and Tevin Broyles scored 11 for New Orleans.

Broyles and Gill combined for all the points in an early 8-0 run to give the Privateers their only lead at 16-14 midway through the opening 20 minutes. House knocked down a 3-pointer and Tonny Trocha-Morelos converted a three-point play as the Aggies used a late 9-0 spurt to open a 13-point lead en route to a 40-28 edge at halftime.

New Orleans briefly got the deficit under double digits in the opening minutes of the second half, but Allen scored five straight points to cap a 7-0 spurt to push the lead to 52-35 with about 16 minutes remaining. Texas A&M then turned it into a rout with 12 unanswered points, including back-to-back 3-pointers from Davonte Fitzgerald to make it 64-37 near the 13-minute mark.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Fitzgerald also blocked three shots as the Aggies registered a season high with seven rejections. ... Privateers G Kevin Brown, who entered averaging a team-high 19.5 points, was held to nine on 2-of-7 shooting. ... Texas A&M hit nine consecutive shots during a 24-4 second-half run to turn a 10-point lead into a 30-point cushion.
