Utah 85, Texas-Pan American 48: Kyle Kuzma scored 14 points and Delon Wright had 12 as the host Utes rolled in the opening round of the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament.

Jordan Loveridge added for 11 points for Utah (3-1), whose only loss came at No. 15 San Diego State. Jakop Poeltl finished with eight points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks as the Utes won their second straight.

Shaquille Boga paced Texas-Pan American (3-1) with a game-high 16 points but the Broncs fell behind early and never recovered. Janari Joesaar finished with 11 points and four assists and Shaquille Hines added eight points.

The game was tied at 13 before Utah went on an extended run, shooting 63 percent in the first half to carry a 50-26 lead into the break. Kuzma, who scored 19 points in a breakout game last time out, had 10 points off the bench in the first half.

The Utes emptied the bench early in the second half and their reserves outscored their counterparts 39-5. The Broncs never got the deficit under 20 points after the break while playing their first Division I team of the season.
