TCU 74, Radford 50: Kyan Anderson scored 23 points, including 3-of-4 3-pointers, as the host Horned Frogs cruised to the easy win in a Corpus Christi Coastal Classic game.
Hudson Price finished with 14 points and Chris Washburn and Kenrich Williams each added eight points for TCU (5-0). The Horned Frogs, who shot 5-of-8 from 3-point range, will next face Bradley on Friday night in the semifinals in Corpus Christi.
Jalen Carethers scored 11 points, Rashun Davis finished with 10 points and Javonte Green added eight points and seven rebounds for Radford (2-3). The Highlanders shot 33.9 percent from the floor, including 1-of-12 from 3-point range.
Radford, expected to contend for the Big South Conference title, was competitive early and held a 16-15 lead after a Carethers jumper with a little over eight minutes left in the first half. But TCU, behind 12 points from Anderson including a pair of 3-pointers, closed the half on a 16-4 run to build a 31-20 lead at the break.
TCU increased its lead to 61-32 midway through the second half on a layup by Anderson to cap a 16-2 run. Radford never got closer than 23 points the rest of the way.
GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU is 5-0 for the first time since starting the 1997-98 season 9-0. ... The Horned Frogs improved to 20-4 when leading at halftime under head coach Trent Johnson. ... TCU, which came into the game ranked 15th nationally in assists with an average of 19.5 per game, finished with 14 assists.
