Johnny Juzang scored 23 points and helped key several second-half runs as No. 12 UCLA ended a two-game losing streak with a 79-70 win at Stanford on Tuesday.

The Bruins (17-4, 9-3 Pac-12) came into Tuesday's contest -- the third in a four-game road swing -- off losses at then-No. 7 Arizona and Arizona State.

Any lingering effects from the second of those defeats, which went to triple overtime late Saturday in Tempe, Ariz., were not evident in the first half against the Cardinal. UCLA shot 18 of 33 (54.5 percent) and built a 10-point lead by intermission.

Stanford (14-9, 7-6), however, scored the first six points after the break.

UCLA answered with an 11-0 run, ignited when Juzang was fouled on a made 3-pointer. Juzang completed the burst with a layup off a steal by Cody Riley, which pushed the Bruins' advantage to 52-37.

The Cardinal went on a 14-6 run over the ensuing 3:49 before Juzang delivered a six-point flurry that was part of a 10-2 spurt.

Spencer Jones did his part to keep Stanford's margin to single digits down the stretch. He wound up knocking down 4 of 9 3-point attempts and scoring a team-high 22 points.

Juzang led four UCLA scorers in double figures. Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Tyger Campbell both scored 14 points, and Jules Bernard chipped in 10. Campbell dished a game-high seven assists.

Stanford's Harrison Ingram added 17 points, shooting 7 of 13, but he went just 2 of 6 at the foul line. He grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Michael O'Connell pitched in with 13 points.

The Cardinal shot 5 of 10 from the free-throw line while the Bruins were 5 of 5. UCLA went 34 of 62 (54.8 percent) from the floor and committed just six turnovers.

Stanford gave the ball away 11 times, leading to 15 UCLA points. The Cardinal scored just four points off turnovers, but they hit 29 of 54 field-goal attempts (53.7 percent).
