Jamal Bey scored a season-high 20 points as Washington defeated Cal 84-63 on Thursday in a Pac-12 game in Berkeley, Calif.

Terrell Brown Jr. and Daejon Davis added 19 points apiece and Emmitt Matthews Jr. scored 11 for the Huskies (12-8, 7-3 Pac-12), who have won six of their past seven games. Brown had a game-high eight assists.

Obinna Anyanwu scored 10 points, and Jalen Celestine and Makale Foreman each scored eight points for the Golden Bears (9-14, 2-10), who took their ninth consecutive defeat. Jordan Shepherd, Cal's leading scorer at 14.3 points per game, was limited to six points on 2-of-8 shooting against Washington's zone defense.

The Golden Bears played without forward Andre Kelly, their top interior threat. Kelly, who averages 13.4 points and a team-leading 8.4 rebounds per game, injured an ankle Saturday against Southern California and was seen sitting on the bench wearing a walking boot.

Matthews scored the Huskies' first seven points and Davis, who formerly played at Cal's Bay Area rival Stanford before transferring back to his hometown of Seattle to play for Washington, added a 3-pointer to give the visitors an early 10-2 lead.

The Huskies extended their advantage to as many as 14 points in the first half before settling for a 38-29 lead at the intermission.

Bey and Davis made layups to open the second half, and the Golden Bears never got closer than 11 points the rest of the way.

PJ Fuller's 3-pointer with 12:22 remaining gave the Huskies their largest lead to that point at 61-38. Washington led by 25 in the final minute.

The Huskies shot 51.6 percent (33 of 64) from the field and made 12 of 23 3-point attempts. The Golden Bears were limited to 37.7 percent shooting (23 of 61) and were just 5 of 22 from beyond the arc.

There was only one tie and one lead change, and Washington was ahead for 38:21.
