Mason Jones scored 36 points as Arkansas celebrated Senior Night with a 99-90 victory over LSU in an SEC game at Fayetteville, Ark., on Wednesday night.

Jones, a junior guard, nearly matched his SEC-leading scoring average of 21.3 in the first half as he scored 20 to lead the Razorbacks to a 55-34 halftime lead.

LSU was plagued by fouls throughout the game. It committed 16 in the first half while Arkansas committed seven, and its ability to get back in the game was hampered when Williams and Marlon Taylor both committed their fourth fouls in the first three minutes of the second half.

The Razorbacks led by 23 early in the second half and the closest the Tigers got in the second half was seven.

Arkansas made 36 of 54 foul shots and LSU made 17 of 23.

The score was tied at six before the Razorbacks took the lead for good. Jones and Henderson each made three throws during a 9-1 run, setting the tone for the foul-plagued half for the Tigers.

Mays committed his second foul with 14:40 left in the half and three of his teammates - Williams, Taylor and Smart - would commit three fouls before halftime.

LSU got within 15-11 before Arkansas went on a 9-2 run to start creating breathing room with a 24-13 lead.

Williams' 3-pointer pulled the Tigers within 28-20 before the Razorbacks scored seven straight points.

Mays made two free throws to stop LSU's scoring drought, but Arkansas scored the next eight points to take a 43-22 lead.

Smart made a layup to end a 4:02 field-goal drought for the Tigers, but Jones' four-point play with three seconds left gave the Razorbacks a 55-34 halftime lead.

Arkansas scored 31 points in the final 8:06.
