Breein Tyree scored a career-high 40 points and added five rebounds and four assists as Ole Miss overcame a 13-point deficit for an 83-58 blowout victory over visiting Mississippi State on Tuesday in Oxford, Miss.

Khadim Sy had 18 points and eight rebounds, and Devontae Shuler added 16 points and six rebounds for the Rebels, who ran their winning streak to three games while scoring 27 points off turnovers. Ole Miss (13-11, 4-7 Southeastern Conference) has won 10 of the last 13 in the series.

Reggie Perry amassed 24 points and eight rebounds, D.J. Stewart Jr. had 16 points and Robert Woodard II produced 12 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs (15-9, 6-5). Mississippi State had won three of its previous four.

Tyree scored 27 points in the second half, including 18 during a 21-3 run that gave the Rebels a 78-52 lead with 2:19 remaining.

The Rebels trailed 26-13 with 6:59 left in the first half before getting within 34-33 at halftime. Ole Miss scored the first five points of the second half for a lead it never relinquished.

The reigning SEC player of the week, Tyree has 13 20-point games this season, including four of at least 30 points. He has scored 40, 23 and 38 in his past three games. Tyree finished 13 of 22 overall Tuesday, including four of 10 from 3-point range, and made 10 of 11 free throws.

Guard Nick Weatherspoon, the Bulldogs' third-leading scorer at 12.6 points a game coming in, did not score in 31 minutes before fouling out late in the game. He was 0 of 5 from the field with six assists and four rebounds.

Stewart hit a 3-pointer to break a tie at 13 with 10:40 left in the first half, starting the Bulldogs on a 13-0 run that included two layups by Perry. Ole Miss went 6:55 seconds without a field goal before Tyree hit a 3-pointer to end the Bulldogs' run.

Sy had 14 points in the first half, and the Rebels cut the halftime deficit to one on Shuler's late 3-pointer, his only field goal of the half.
