Brothers Andre and Kaleb Wesson combined for 43 points as No. 6 Ohio State pulled away for a 106-74 win against Penn State in the Big Ten opener for each at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday.

Kaleb Wesson had 28 points, making 4 of 6 shots from 3-point range, and had 10 rebounds. Andre Wesson had 15 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington Jr. each added 14 points for the Buckeyes (9-0), who made 12 of 18 3-pointers in the second half, when they outscored the Nittany Lions 60-39.

The game got away from Penn State (7-2) after forward Lamar Stevens, a first-team All-Big Ten player last season and averaging 17.5 points this season, fouled out with 13:26 left when he was called for personal and technical fouls. He finished with 11 points.

C.J. Walker made 3 of 4 foul shots for a 63-50 lead, but the Nittany Lions responded with five straight points before Washington made a 3-pointer to extend the lead to 66-55.

That was the start of a 20-5 run, capped by consecutive treys from the 6-foot-9 Kaleb Wesson for an 83-60 lead with 7:35 remaining.

Izaiah Brockington scored 19 points to lead Penn State, which shot 42.4 percent from the floor.

This was the first time this season the Buckeyes allowed more than 57 points or allowed an opponent to shoot better than 38 percent.

This was the first time Ohio State hit triple digits in a Big Ten game since having 102 vs. Northwestern on Jan. 10, 1991.

Kaleb Wesson (11) and Andre Wesson (nine) combined for 20 points when the Buckeyes took a 46-35 halftime lead.

The schedule doesn't get any easier for the Nittany Lions, who host No. 3 Maryland on Tuesday. The Buckeyes play at Minnesota on Dec. 15.
