Texas 61, Kansas State 57: Isaiah Taylor recorded 23 points and four assists as the visiting Longhorns snapped their four-game losing streak.

Connor Lammert added 12 points and nine rebounds for Texas (15-8, 4-6 Big 12), which shot 54.1 percent from the floor and blocked seven shots. Myles Turner and Kendal Yancy each chipped in seven points.

Nino Williams led Kansas State (12-12, 5-6) with 13 points and Tre Harris hit 4-of-6 3-pointers for 12 points off the bench. Thomas Gipson went 0-for-7 from the floor - missing a game-tying inside drive with 10 seconds left - as the Wildcats lost their fourth straight.

Texas hit five of its first seven shots of the second half - including back-to-back dunks by Prince Ibeh and a 3-pointer from Lammert - but couldn't shake the Wildcats until Taylor's jumper was followed by 3-pointers from Yancy and Lammert for a 49-42 lead with 8:14 left. Texas didn't hit another field goal and went 12-for-21 from the free-throw line the rest of the way, giving Kansas State - which got 3-pointers from Williams and Nigel Johnson in the final 70 seconds - the chance to tie with 17 seconds remaining.

Williams scored eight of the Wildcats' first 10 points, but Texas got three baskets from Taylor during a 13-0 run to build a 24-12 lead with just over four minutes left in the first half. Justin Edwards snapped Kansas State's eight-plus minute scoreless drought with two free throws and Harris hit three straight 3-pointers as the Wildcats finished the half on a 13-2 run to knot the game at 27.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kansas State was without leading scorer Marcus Foster and reserve Malek Harris (suspensions) while Texas was missing Javan Felix and Jonathan Holmes (concussions). ...
