No. 4 Arizona 67, Utah 63 (OT): Gabe York scored 15 points in his first start of the season and Nick Johnson also recorded 15 as the visiting Wildcats withstood an upset bid by the Utes.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored six of his 13 points in overtime and T.J. McConnell added 11 and six assists for Arizona (24-2, 11-2 Pac-12), which bounced back from a double-overtime loss at Arizona State by forcing 16 turnovers. Kaleb Tarczewski collected eight points and 10 rebounds to help the Wildcats win their ninth straight against the Utes.

Brandon Taylor led Utah (17-9, 6-8) with 13 points while Delon Wright had 12 points and Dallin Bachynski chipped in 12 and nine rebounds. Jordan Loveridge missed 11 of his 12 shots from the field and finished with seven points along with five rebounds for the Utes, who suffered their second loss in 18 home games this season.

Arizona went on a 14-0 run midway through the first half and led 35-26 at the break, but Utah dominated the boards in the second half and scored eight unanswered points to cut the deficit to 46-42 with just over 10 minutes remaining. Loveridge, who came in averaging 15.6 points, scored his first two with 3:40 left to put Utah ahead 53-52.

Loveridge converted one of two foul shots with 28 seconds left to even the score at 56, and the teams headed to overtime after McConnell’s shot at the buzzer missed the mark. Taylor shot 1-of-5 from the foul line in the extra period, including three straight misses with two minutes left, and Arizona avoided its first three-game road losing streak in four years.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Arizona F Aaron Gordon, who entered the game averaging 11.8 points and eight rebounds, fouled out for the first time this season with 8:41 remaining and finished with three points and three boards. … Seven of Utah’s nine losses have come by four points or fewer. … Utah made 13-of-22 free throws after entering the contest shooting 76.1 percent from the line in conference play.
