Virginia 78, Florida State 66: Joe Harris had a game-high 18 points as the host Cavaliers halted the Seminoles' three-game winning streak.

Harris shot 6-of-8 from the field while knocking down four 3-pointers for Virginia (13-5, 4-1 ACC), which bounced back emphatically from a four-point loss to Duke on Monday night. Malcolm Brogdon added 16 points and six assists while Mike Tobey poured in 13 points and Justin Anderson added 10 off the bench.

Okaro White's 15 points and seven rebounds paced Florida State (12-5, 3-2), which committed 18 turnovers en route to its second loss to Virginia in two weeks. Aaron Thomas chipped in 15 points in a reserve role while Devon Bookert contributed 12.

Virginia controlled the game from the outset, breaking out to a 14-3 lead fueled by 3-pointers from Brogdon and Anderson. Layups from Bookert and Michael Ojo capped an 8-1 run that allowed the Seminoles to trim the gap, but the Cavaliers responded with the final eight points of the half - highlighted by an Akil Mitchell one-handed fast-break jam - to carry a 45-26 advantage into the break.

The Virginia offense scuffled to open the second half - going without a field goal for more than five minutes - but Florida State failed to take advantage, turning the ball over four times during that stretch. Another Mitchell dunk and back-to-back Brogdon jumpers made it a 57-36 game just before the midway point of the half, and the Seminoles didn't threaten the rest of the way.
