No. 17 Creighton 75, Bradley 58: Doug McDermott scored 17 of his 25 points in the second half as the host Bluejays used a second-half spurt to win their 15th straight game against the Braves in Omaha.

McDermott made 6-of-7 shots in the second half and finished with a game-high seven rebounds for Creighton (20-3, 9-2 Missouri Valley Conference) while Austin Chatman scored a career-high 16 points and Gregory Echenique pitched in 10 on 4-of-4 shooting. The Bluejays shot 69.2 percent in the second half.

Dyricus Simms-Edwards led Bradley (13-10, 5-6) with 18 points, Walt Lemon Jr. added 15 and Tyshon Pickett had 11.

After entering halftime down 30-27, Creighton scored the first eight points of the second half on two layups apiece from McDermott and Echenique. A Lemon three-point play pulled the Braves within 43-41 with 13 minutes left before McDermott made another layup to spark a 22-7 run.

Ethan Wragge and Chatman made 3-pointers early in the stint and McDermott scored nine straight to finish it off and push the Bluejays cushion to 67-50 with 4:37 remaining. Bradley did not threaten down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Creighton shot just 34.5 percent in the first half before finishing at 50.9 percent. … The Bluejays outrebounded Bradley 33-24. … Creighton has recorded 20 wins for the 14th time in 15 seasons, and the 25th time in program history. The Bluejays also have 300 wins since the start of the 2000-01 season. No other MVC program has more than 257 in that span.
