No. 14 Gonzaga 74, Campbell 52: Przemek Karnowski led four players in double figures with 14 points as the Bulldogs rolled over the visiting Fighting Camels.
Kelly Olynyk added 12 points, making all 10 of his free throws, and six rebounds for Gonzaga (11-1). Elias Harris chipped in with 11 points and six assists, while Gary Bell Jr. had 11 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Trey Freeman, the only player to start in every game for Campbell (3-8), had 17 points. The Fighting Camels were without leading scorer Darren White, averaging 21.9 points, for the fourth straight game due to a hand injury.
Campbell was within four points a little more than four minutes into the game before Gonzaga scored 11 of the next 14 points to take a 24-12 lead and led by double digits the rest of the way. Karnowski, a 7-1 freshman from Poland making his first start, had 11 points in the first half as the Bulldogs built a 49-24 advantage at the break.
Gonzaga pushed the lead as high as 31 in the second half and finished with 13 steals – five by Kevin Pangos. The Bulldogs forced 14 turnovers and held Campbell to 32.7 percent shooting.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzaga was 13-of-13 from the free-throw line in the first half and 21-of-25 for the game. … Campbell was 7-of-14 from 3-point range. The Fighting Camels will play at Seattle on Friday. … Gonzaga is 111-8 at its home arena, the McCarthy Athletic Center, since 2004-05.
