Nevada 76, Washington 73: Deonte Burton scored a season-high 29 points as the visiting Wolf Pack blew an 18-point second-half lead but regrouped to beat the Huskies for a second straight season.

Burton, a 6-1 junior guard, also contributed a career-high six steals. Malik Story added 15 points for Nevada (5-4) and Devonte Elliott scored 11.

C.J. Wilcox scored 21 points to lead the Huskies (4-4). Scott Suggs scored 19 and Abdul Gaddy overcame early foul trouble to score 16. Aziz N’Diaye was the only other Washington player scoring in double figures, finishing with 11 points.

Nevada used a 9-0 run to take its biggest lead 50-32 with 15:22 left in the game. The Huskies then scored 12 straight points to cut the deficit back to six with 11:27 left and eventually took its first lead of the game 61-60 on a 3-pointer by Suggs with 5:21 remaining.

With the Wolf Pack clinging to a one-point lead, Burton made the second of his back-to-back 3-pointers with 1:58 remaining to push the lead back to 73-68. Washington missed four of its final five field-goal attempts and Nevada shot 3-for-4 from the line to maintain the lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Suggs, the team’s fourth-leading scorer this season, returned after missing the last three games with a foot injury. Shawn Kemp Jr., a 6-9 sophomore forward for the Huskies, made his season debut after sitting out with a knee injury. He finished with five points, the only bench points for the Huskies. ... Andrew Andrews, who moved into the starting lineup while Suggs was injured, missed the game after spraining his ankle during practice Thursday. …. Wilcox has scored in double figures in 14 straight games dating to last season. … Washington forward Desmond Simmons finished with 13 rebounds, giving him 31 in the last two games.
