SOUTH FLORIDA 58, LOUISVILLE 51: Jawanza Poland scored a game-high 16 points, including two big baskets in the final three minutes, as the visiting Bulls defeated No. 18 Louisville on Wednesday.

Poland drained a 3-pointer to put South Florida (19-11, 12-5 Big East) ahead 48-42, and hit a big jumper with 1:19 remaining for a 50-45 lead as the Bulls ended an 11-game losing streak to the Cardinals.

Toarlyn Fitzpatrick added 11 points and seven rebounds for South Florida, which has won six of its last seven games.

Chris Smith and Kyle Kuric each had 14 points for Louisville (22-8, 10-7). All of Smith’s points were in the second half.

South Florida led by as many as seven in the opening 20 minutes and settled for a 22-17 advantage at halftime by scoring eight of the last 10 points. Seven different South Florida players had a field goal and the Bulls held Louisville to a season-low point total in the first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: It was Poland’s second double-figure scoring game in his last 10. … Louisville was 1 for 9 from 3-point range and had no fast-break points in the first half.
