Terrell Stoglin scored a game-high 27 points and visiting Maryland held on after almost blowing a 14-point lead in the final eight minutes.

Stoglin, who leads the Atlantic Coast Conference and ranks fifth in the nation in scoring, hit two free throws with 10 seconds remaining to give the Terrapins (14-9, 4-5 ACC) a 63-59 lead as they registered their first true road win.

Clemson (11-12, 3-6 ACC), which has lost three straight, trailed 53-39 with 7:58 remaining before staging a comeback behind Andre Young and Milton Jennings.

Young, who led the Tigers with 15 points, had 13 in the second half while Jennings came off the bench to score 11 of his 14 after halftime. Devin Booker added a double-double for the Tigers with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Sean Mosley contributed 16 points for Maryland, which shot 49 percent from the field and a season best 67 percent from three-point range, hitting 8 of 12, led by four from Stoglin.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mosley became the 50th player in Maryland history to reach the 1,000-point mark when he made a free throw early in the first half ... Maryland, which came into the game ranked 336th in the nation in steals averaging just 4.0 per game, had five in the first half and finished with eight.
