It was the first Pac-12 basketball game in each school's history. They joined the conference July 1.

Dinwiddie equaled his career high of 16 points in the first half when he made 4-of-5 3-pointers as the Buffaloes (9-4) won their fourth straight game and improved to 7-1 at home this season.

Colorado closed the first half with a 13-4 run to take a 27-11 lead as Utah (3-10, 0-1) failed to score in the final 4:41 of the half.

Colorado scored 18 of the first 22 points in the second half to take a 45-15 lead with 14:23 to play.

Jason Washburn scored 10 points for Utah, which shot 22.6 percent from the field and was 2-of-23 from 3-point range.
