No. 20 Kansas State took out all its recent frustrations in a 94-60 thumping of struggling Texas Tech on Saturday in Manhattan, Kan.

The preseason favorite to win the Big 12, Kansas State (13-5, 1-2 Big 12) started conference play with a 76-62 loss at Oklahoma State and a 74-66 home loss to Colorado.

But the always intense coach Frank Martin wasn’t about to let his team lose its third straight conference game. The Wildcats doubled-up Texas Tech 52-26 at halftime and were never challenged.

Jamar Samuels scored 22 points, Jacob Pullen added 21 and Rodney McGruder scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Curtis Kelly scored 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting in his return from a six-game suspension.

It was the third straight conference loss for the Red Raiders, who fell to 8-10 in what has become a disaster of a season. They have yet to score above 60 points in conference play.

John Roberson scored 19 points for Texas Tech.
