Mike Muscala made a 3-point shot with 9.4 seconds to play and the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder came back to defeat the Toronto Raptors 110-109 on Wednesday night.
Justin Champagnie made a tip layup that would have given the Raptors the victory but a video review determined that his fingers were still on the ball when time expired.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 16 of his 26 points in the third quarter and added nine assists for Oklahoma City.
Luguentz Dort added 22 points, Darius Bazley had 15 points and Josh Giddey had 13.
Gary Trent Jr. had 24 points for Toronto. Pascal Siakam added 23 points and 11 rebounds, Fred VanVleet had 19 points, Scottie Barnes had 18 and Chris Boucher 11.
Toronto led by as many as 13 points in the second quarter and led by 10 at halftime, but Oklahoma City used a 33-12 third quarter to take an 87-76 lead into the fourth.
A reverse layup by Derrick Favors increased the Thunder's lead to 13 with 8:44 left in the fourth quarter. The lead reached 14 before VanVleet made two straight 3-pointers that cut the lead to six with 3:51 to go.
The lead shrunk to one on Trent's 3-pointer. Dort made a layup but VanVleet's 3-pointer tied the game at 105 with 59.4 to play. After the teams exchanged free throws, Champagnie gave Toronto a two-point lead with 18 seconds left.
Toronto led 36-26 after one quarter.
Toronto led by 11 early in the second quarter before Oklahoma City had a 7-2 run. After Toronto pulled out to a 10-point lead, Oklahoma City responded with a 7-0 run capped by Bazley's layup with 4:38 left. An 8-0 Toronto run completed by Trent's 3-pointer restored the 11-point lead. After increasing the margin to 13, Toronto led 64-54 at halftime.
Gilgeous-Alexander's 3-pointer tied the game at 73 with 4:45 remaining in the third quarter. He made two foul shots with 4:18 to play, capping a 13-0 run and giving the Thunder a two-point lead. Gilgeous-Alexander made two free throws to complete the third-quarter scoring and give Oklahoma City a 87-76 lead.
Toronto was without OG Anunoby (hip pointer), Khem Birch (knee) and Precious Achiuwa (shoulder).
