Otto Porter Jr. scored a season-high 29 points, John Wall added 22 points, seven rebounds and eight assists and the host Washington Wizards defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 124-114 on Saturday night.
Austin Rivers scored 18 points off the bench and Bradley Beal had 18 points and eight assists for the Wizards, who had lost three of their last four games.
Porter made 12 of 15 field goal attempts, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range.
The Pelicans, playing without leading scorer Anthony Davis (right hip strain), completed an 0-3 road trip and fell to 2-9 away from home.
Julius Randle, making his fourth start of the season in place of Davis, led New Orleans with 29 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. Nikola Mirotic scored 24 points with nine rebounds and E'Twaun Moore added 19 points with six steals.
The Wizards shot a season-high 56.7 percent (51 of 90) and the Pelicans were 43 of 90 (47.8 percent).
Markieff Morris' 3-pointer gave the Wizards a 109-104 lead with 6:53 left and Porter's tip-in in pushed the lead to seven. After Wall made a steal and fed Porter for an alley-oop, Washington was up 113-104 at the 5:15 mark.
Beal's jumper pushed the lead to 10 with 3:33 remaining and the Pelicans got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
Davis was injured in Friday's loss to the Knicks.
Wizards center Dwight Howard (gluteal soreness) missed his third straight game.
The Pelicans took a seven-point lead midway through the third quarter, but the Wizards went on a 13-2 run, going up 88-84 on Wall's reverse layup.
The game matched the NBA's second- (Wizards) and third- (Pelicans) worst defenses, both allowing over 116 points per game.
Porter, averaging 11 points per game, scored 16 in the first quarter.
Both teams shot over 60 percent in the first half and the game was tied 68-68 at intermission.
