Pistons 99, Heat 98: Reggie Jackson scored nine points in the final three minutes as Detroit rallied from 11 points down to stun visiting Miami.

Jackson finished with 29 points and 11 assists for the Pistons, who were playing their fourth game in five days. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 19 points, Anthony Tolliver scored 15 and Andre Drummond finished with 11 points and 17 rebounds for Detroit.

Dwyane Wade scored 24 points and Goran Dragic finished with 21 points and seven assists for the Heat, who slipped into ninth place, one-half game behind Boston in the Eastern Conference derby. Hassan Whiteside contributed 13 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks and Luol Deng also scored 13 for Miami, which would have mathematically eliminated the Pistons from playoff contention with a victory.

The Heat led by 11 points with 3 1/2 minutes left but Jackson took over and scored seven points on the next three possessions and Caldwell-Pope's 3-pointer drew the Pistons within a point with 1:08 remaining. Wade missed twice and Mario Chalmers missed another jumper, leaving the door open for Jackson's driving layup that put the Pistons on top 99-98 with five seconds left and Wade missed a potential game-winner at the buzzer.

The Pistons, who scored a season-low 35 points in the first half of Friday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls, scored 23 in the first seven minutes against the Heat and led by as many as 11 in the opening quarter before slowing down. The Heat then got hot and made their first five shots of the second quarter to move back ahead and eventually stretch their lead to as many as 11 before settling for a 55-50 lead at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit F Greg Monroe missed his 10th consecutive game with a knee injury, but is reportedly close to returning for the final games. … Miami backup C Chris Andersen suffered a foot contusion during the first half and did not return. … Dragic and Wade, who came in shooting a combined 48.7 percent from the field this season, the highest mark among starting guards in the NBA, combined to shoot 12-for-15 in the first half with five assists and no turnovers.
