Suns 99, Wizards 93: Goran Dragic recorded 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists as visiting Phoenix held off a rally from Washington to match a season high with its fifth straight victory.

Eric Bledsoe contributed 23 points and seven assists for the Suns, who made 14-of-28 from 3-point range and led by as much as 25 in the second half. Gerald Green had 18 points off the bench and Channing Frye added 10 as Phoenix won for the seventh time in eight games and moved into a tie for eighth in the Western Conference with idle Dallas.

John Wall led the way with 29 points and six assists as the Wizards lost for the fourth time in five games. Marcin Gortat chipped in with 17 points while Trevor Ariza had 14 points and eight rebounds and Martell Webster scored 10 for Washington.

Dragic and Green each drained a 3-pointer as Phoenix scored 12 of the final 15 in the opening half to build a 54-44 lead at intermission. Bledsoe recorded 10 points during a 21-6 burst that pushed the Phoenix lead to 25 before Wall scored 10 as Washington responded with a 20-4 surge to pull within 79-69 after three quarters.

The Wizards continue their surge in the fourth quarter, getting within 83-79 after a three-point play by Wall, but Green and Dragic responded with back-to-back 3-pointers. Washington trimmed a 12-point deficit to 93-90 before Bledsoe made a long 3-pointer with a little over a minute left, Green hit two free throws and the Suns had the cushion they needed.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Suns made 11-of-12 free throws and had a 39-35 edge on the boards, led by nine from F P.J. Tucker. … Wall made two 3-pointers to give Washington four players with at least 100 in a season for the first time in its history. Wall has 100 while Webster, Ariza and G Bradley Beal have also reached the mark. … Phoenix has won 11 of the last 14 meetings with Washington.
