Zach Randolph collected 23 points and 14 rebounds as Memphis used a big second half to turn away visiting Cleveland.

Marc Gasol added 22 points and eight boards and Mike Conley scored 22 points for the Grizzlies, who moved within a game of the Phoenix Suns for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference. Courtney Lee chipped in 19 points and Tony Allen scored 16 as Memphis posted a 56-31 advantage after the break.

Kyrie Irving scored 28 points to pace the Cavaliers, who fell for the fourth time in 12 games. Tristan Thompson contributed 18 points and eight rebounds and Spencer Hawes had 13 points for Cleveland.

The Cavaliers led by as much as 15 points in the second quarter and took a 65-54 lead into the break. Irving knocked down 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions early in the third to keep it a 73-63 gap before the Grizzlies took off on a 17-0 run to grab the lead.

Memphis went into the fourth quarter with an 87-80 edge before Cleveland made a run, chopping the deficit to 95-94 with 4:03 left after five straight points from Irving. Randolph responded with a jumper and Conley buried a 3-pointer to kick off a 15-2 burst ending the game.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The Cavaliers were without G C.J. Miles (ankle), G Dion Waiters (knee) and C Anderson Varejao (back). … Cleveland had a four-game winning streak against Western Conference opponents come to an end. … Conley came into the contest shooting 30.6 percent in five games since returning from an ankle injury but went 8-of-14 against the Cavaliers.
