Burks hit a jumper to give the Jazz an 89-75 lead with 8:56 left before the 76ers made a move with a 13-0 burst. Carter-Williams’ three-point play knotted it at 91 with 2:10 left, but Burks drove for layups on back-to-back possessions and turned the second into a three-point play before knocking down two more free throws and another layup to help put it away.

The 76ers looked on their way to a third straight blowout when they fell behind 31-22 at the end of the first quarter before keeping it close in the second and going into the break down 56-48. Carter-Williams’ jumper with 3:53 left in the third knotted it at 66 before the Jazz ended the period with a 12-3 run to take a 78-69 cushion into the fourth.
