Raptors 101, Wizards 88: DeMar DeRozan led five players in double figures with 20 points as visiting Toronto rolled over Washington to extend its season-high winning streak to five games.

Kyle Lowry recorded 19 points and 11 assists while Patrick Patterson contributed 18 points off the bench as the Raptors moved over the .500 mark (16-15). Amir Johnson had 17 points and Terrence Ross added 14 for Toronto, which outscored the Wizards 36-16 in the third period to take control.

Nene led the way with 15 points off the bench and Trevor Booker had 13 rebounds for the Washington, which turned the ball over 18 times. Martell Webster and Bradley Beal each had 12 points for the Wizards while John Wall was held to 11, ending his streak of 20-point efforts at eight games.

Toronto made 11-of-18 from the field in the first quarter to build a nine-point lead and extended it as high as 10 almost five minutes into the second. Wall and Nene each scored 10 points in the first half as the Wizards battled back to tie before Lowry’s 3-pointer gave the Raptors a 48-45 lead at intermission.

Ross helped break it open with eight points during a 15-4 run to start the second half and Patterson’s dunk capped the scoring as Toronto led 84-61 after three quarters. The Raptors were not challenged in the fourth en route to their ninth win in 11 games and finished with 29 assists.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lowry has recorded six or more assists in 23 consecutive games for the Raptors, the longest active streak in the NBA. … Washington F Trevor Ariza was ejected after receiving two technical fouls midway through the third quarter and finished with six points. … Toronto F Tyler Hansbrough, averaging 5.5 points and five rebounds, missed the game due to an ankle injury.
