Kings 116, Clippers 101: Marcus Thornton made six 3-pointers and scored 25 points as Sacramento dominated the fourth quarter and snapped a five-game losing streak against visiting Los Angeles.

Toney Douglas made three consecutive 3-pointers during a span of 90 seconds in the fourth quarter and finished with 19 points for the Kings, who outscored the Clippers 38-18 in the final period.

Los Angeles lost for the third time in its last five games despite a solid effort from Blake Griffin, who was 11-of-14 shooting for 26 points. Jamal Crawford made five 3-pointers and had 25 points for the Clippers, who are in fifth place in the Western Conference in their tight battle with Denver and Memphis for the third spot.

Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins added 17 points apiece for Sacramento, which trailed 86-78 with 11:17 remaining before moving ahead by five after Evans scored eight points during a 13-0 run.

Los Angeles cut the deficit to 98-96 with 3:43 left, but Sacramento responded with a 12-2 run, highlighted by Douglas’ three 3-pointers. The Kings made 14 of their 28 shots from 3-point range, while the Clippers missed 17 of their 26 shots from beyond the arc.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clippers G Chauncey Billups did not return after leaving the game in the second quarter with an apparent groin injury. … After missing the previous two games with a left thigh bruise, Cousins had 11 rebounds in 28 minutes. …Clippers PG Chris Paul missed eight of his 10 shots and had 11 points in 44 minutes to go with 15 assists.
