76ers 106, Nets 97: Spencer Hawes scored a season-high 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds and Philadelphia held on against visiting Brooklyn to snap its five-game losing streak.

Six players scored in double figures for the 76ers, who shot 52.6 percent from the field and won for the second time in their last 14 games. Evan Turner scored 16 points and Thaddeus Young added 16 and 10 rebounds.

The Nets fell 2 1/2 games behind third-place Indiana in the East despite Deron Williams’ 27 points and 13 assists. Williams scored his 10,000th career point while making 10 of his 19 shots from the field.

Philadelphia led 80-66 with 1:47 left in the third quarter before Brooklyn closed the period on a 9-2 run to cut the deficit in half. The Nets edged to within four before Turner hit a 3-pointer to put the Sixers ahead 94-87 with 7:20 to play.

After winning three in a row while holding each of its opponents under 81 points, Brooklyn allowed Philadelphia to shoot 57 percent through three quarters. Dorell Wright made three of the Sixers’ eight 3-pointers and finished with 15 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Philadelphia, which lost to Orlando 99-91 on Sunday, improved to 3-13 in the second game of a back-to-back. … Nets G Joe Johnson had 20 points and C Brook Lopez scored 14 of his 19 points in the first quarter. … Sixers G Nick Young missed his seventh straight game with a sprained ankle.
