Heat 105, Nets 85: LeBron James racked up 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as visiting Miami used a big third quarter to beat Brooklyn for the 13th consecutive time.

Dwyane Wade had 21 points and Chris Bosh added 16 for the Heat, who shot 51.8 percent while hitting on 11 of 19 attempts from 3-point range. Mario Chalmers chipped in with 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

Brook Lopez scored 21 points but didn't get much help as the Nets were outscored 36-14 in the third quarter. Joe Johnson (16) and Andray Blatche (12) were the only other Brooklyn players to score in double figures.

After Brooklyn rode a 20-3 second-quarter run to erase a double-digit deficit and enter the break tied at 49, the Nets completely fell apart in the pivotal third. James knocked down a 3-pointer to put Miami ahead for good with 7:39 remaining, and added five straight points during a 24-5 run that gave the Heat an 85-63 edge entering the fourth.

James scored Miami's first five points in the final period, Bosh added an emphatic dunk with seven minutes remaining and Wade followed with a short jumper on the next possession as the Heat cruised to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nets PG Deron Williams played despite dealing with flu-like symptoms. He wound up with nine points and five assists in 34 minutes. ... Brooklyn PF Reggie Evans said before the game he wasn't overly impressed by James or the Heat's 2012 title victory. Evans finished with zero points and six rebounds in 20 minutes. ... James, Wade and Bosh combined for 10 of Miami's 15 turnovers.
