James Harden scored 25 points in 28 minutes, one of six players in double figures as visiting Houston routed Utah for its third consecutive victory.

Marcus Morris and Carlos Delfino each connected on four 3-pointers while scoring 16 and 14 points, respectively, as the Rockets handed the Jazz the largest home defeat in franchise history. Houston was 16-of-34 from 3-point range and won by its largest margin since a 50-point win over the Philadelphia 76ers on March 18, 2007.

Randy Foye had 12 points and Derrick Favors added 11 for Utah, which suffered its fifth-largest loss in franchise history and narrowly missed losing by the worst margin since the franchise moved to Salt Lake City. The Jazz lost by 46 points (150-104) to the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 15, 1986; the overall franchise record is a 56-point loss when the team was located in New Orleans.

The contest was tied at 22-22 late in the first quarter before Houston began pulling away. The Rockets led 57-39 at halftime and then began the third quarter with a 15-4 run to push their lead to 29 midway through the stanza. The onslaught continued despite both teams emptying the benches in the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Houston had a 26-2 edge on fast-break points. … Jazz swingman Gordon Hayward missed the game due to the shoulder injury he suffered during overtime of Saturday’s victory over Indiana. … The point total was Utah’s lowest of the season. The previous worst output was 83 against the Golden State Warriors on Dec. 26.
