Trail Blazers 92, Raptors 74: LaMarcus Aldridge collected a team-high 30 points and 12 rebounds as shorthanded Portland still had enough in the tank to topple visiting Toronto.
J.J. Hickson added his 11th double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who won despite shooting 0-for-20 from 3-point range. Portland was playing without starters Nicolas Batum (back) and Wesley Matthews (left hip).
DeMar DeRozan finished with 20 points for the reeling Raptors, who lost Andrea Bargnani and Kyle Lowry to injury en route to falling for the 11th time in 12 outings.
X-rays were negative after Bargnani injured his right elbow following a fall during the first quarter. Lowry initially hurt his right triceps in the same session, but toughed it out until exiting in the third.
Aldridge dominated the interior to score 10 points in the third quarter and extend Portland's lead to 64-50. Toronto answered with nine points to end the stanza, but Aldridge added eight more points midway through the fourth to seal the victory.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Toronto F Amir Johnson drew a technical foul after refusing to relinquish the ball following a free throw during the third quarter. Johnson, who was promptly ejected, tossed his mouthpiece at the official while leaving the arena. ... F Victor Claver and G Sasha Pavlovic started in place of Batum and Matthews, respectively. Claver had just four points while Pavlovic added 10 points and seven rebounds. ... Toronto G Mickael Pietrus returned to the lineup after dealing with left knee tendinitis. He finished with nine points.
