Grizzlies 104, Warriors 94:
Mike Conley collected 21 points, seven assists and five steals as visiting Memphis bounced back from a loss in its opener and knocked off Golden State.

Marc Gasol scored 21 points, Rudy Gay added 18 and Zach Randolph piled up 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who had extended their NBA record with a 12th straight season-opening loss on Wednesday.

Stephen Curry recovered from a tough shooting night in the opener to score 26 points on 10-of-20 shooting for the Warriors, who lost guard Brandon Rush to a knee injury in the first quarter. Rush was fouled by Randolph going up for a dunk and his left knee bent awkwardly upon landing.

Memphis made its run in the back half of the third quarter. After Curry’s 3-pointer cut it to 59-56, Conley buried 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions and Gay scored five straight points during a 17-6 run to close the frame. Golden State tried to make a move in the fourth quarter, drawing within 90-82 on another 3-pointer by Curry with 5:18 to play, but Conley recorded four points and two assists during a 10-4 run over the next four minutes to keep the Grizzlies comfortably ahead.

Rush’s injury shortened what was a very productive reserve corps for the Warriors in their opener. Carl Landry scored 20 points off the bench but Rush left before scoring and Jarrett Jack was held to five points in 27 minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Warriors F David Lee, who shot 2 of 16 in the opener, recovered to score 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting against Memphis. … All nine players who saw the floor for the Grizzlies scored at least four points and each played at least 14 minutes. … Golden State C Andris Biedrins was selected off the bench by Memphis to shoot the free throws when Rush departed. The much-maligned Biedrins was booed by the home fans as he missed both shots.
